K St, Tacoma More Information & Tickets As solstice nears and the days grow longer, the Tacoma Symphony Chorus is preparing for its spring concert, appropriately titled "Hail, Gladdening Light." Conducted by Dr. Geoffrey Boers, the program will feature Washington native Morten Lauridsen's 1997 masterwork, Lux Aeterna, called "a classic of new American choral writing" by The London Times. Also on the program will be Rachmaninoff's Vespers ("O Serene Light"), and John Tavener's Song for Athene, the 1993 work memorialized so poignantly at the funeral of Princess Diana.
